How to repair Mercedes Benz steering angle sensor faulty

When the driver turns on the engine and moves steering wheel, the the side slide light will be light up at instrument panel, turns off the engine and turns on again, then side slide light off too. If you steering wheel again, slide light will be light up again. After checking, we get a report on internal faulty of the steering sensor(most time with no reason)

All New C & E class are using such steering angle sensor, so it's a problem we will meet quite often.

OK, let's move forwarder on how to repair it.

According to our experience, most time such problem is caused by 4 reasons as follows

1, Dust.
Yes, quite simple, dust is the murder.   Why does dust causes the problem?  OK, the working principle of the steering angle sensor is that the scale signal board(yellow board) combines with the optical detecting components together detecting the moving angle. But after period, there would have dust go inside, and the dust influences the normal detecting.  What you need to do is just to remove both scale signal board and optical detecting component, clean them and reset them.  Faulty code disappears.

2, Power supply chip TLE7263 failed

The chip TLE7263 controls the power supply of the steering angle sensor. If this chip breaks, then whole steering angle sensor will not work.  At this condition, you just need to replace a new TLE7263 chip.

3, False welding on CPU or other chip.
We knows there are lot of problems we are unable to detect and locate, finally, we find the problem just comes out by false welding on some keys chips.  So check the all welding again, and repairing welding CPU or other chips.

4, data losing or fail in the CPU
I put this at final as it's really seldom, but we met before. At such condition, there is no other way but to recover new complete data.
